HR Manager

6 month HR Manager role paying £45-50,000 per annum, starting ASAP.

Your new company
You will work as an HR Manager, for the Law School at one of London's top Universities. The role is being recruited on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract basis, paying £45-50,000 per annum. The role will interview week commencing 26th July and you must be available to start immediately.

Your new role
The Law School has 100 employees, you will report to the Deputy Director of HR and will have the support of an HR Advisor. This is an operational HR Manager role, supporting a small but challenging client group, that need handholding. You must have the credibility and gravitas to engage with Managers, to promote why HR is valuable. The Law School has gone through some change recently, with changes to Heads of Department and a new Assistant Dean. The HR Manager leads the provision of a comprehensive HR service, providing advice and guidance to senior managers on a range of matters (e.g. recruitment and retention, dealing with complex people issues, performance management). The HR Manager would lead annual University exercises within their School (e.g. the Academic Promotions process, Professorial Banding, annual salary review etc.) and also participate in the local business agenda, for example attending School Exec meetings.

What you'll need to succeed
Candidates must have worked in a Unionised and complex environment. You must have a flexible approach to engage with all staff, those who are both engaged and not engaged with HR.
