Assistant HR Business Partner | Tameside | Flexible Working | Temp | Salary up to £30k

An exciting opportunity for an organised, experienced individual to join a large public sector body who are currently seeking a HR Assistant, on a temporary basis, to join their team.

In your new role you will support the Human Resources Business Partner providing a comprehensive day-to-day Human Resources Service, covering the full range of Human Resource related issues across all staff groups. The role is currently based in Tameside, on a flexible working basis.

Your New Role

As HR Assistant you will support the HR Team in the delivery of a proactive, effective and high-quality Human Resource Management service to designated Divisions within the organisation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Advise managers and staff on all aspects of the organisations HR policies and procedures e.g. recruitment & selection, grievances, disciplinaries, capability and performance issues etc.

- Advise managers on the management of sickness and absence, taking action as appropriate, including involvement in sickness meetings.

- To contribute to the development of guidelines, procedures and policies.

- Ensure payroll information is processed for ESR System input in a timely manner, providing advice to managers regarding the timescales and correct completion of forms.

- Support managers in developing and maintaining performance review systems, ensuring that staff are regularly appraised and have a Personal Development Plan.

- Promote concepts of equality, opportunity and diversity throughout the organisation, ensuring that employment practices are non-discriminatory and that the organisation is fully representative of the community it serves.

- Attend Division Management Team Meetings, Staff Involvement Forums, Performance Monitoring of Sickness Absence or other appropriate meetings in the absence of the HR Business Partner.

- Supervise Human Resources assistant's on day-to-day operational issues.

- Assist in the recruitment and selection process, including progress chasing and the monitoring of vacant posts from start to finish of the recruitment process, attending interview panels as required.

- Attend, represent and take part in meetings in a formal note taking capacity.


What You'll Need


* CIPD or equivalent experience.
* The ability to manage difficult and sensitive situations, which often require tact and diplomacy.
* Thorough knowledge of employment law, case law and best practice.
* Demonstrate relevant experience of working at Assistant HR Business Partner (band 5) level.
* Experience of using ESR System (or equivalent).
* Experience of a range of HR procedures and practices.
