My Local Government client, is looking for an Interim EDI Officer on a fixed term contract basis initially until the end of March 2022.

Reporting to the HR Services Manager you will be based remotely with the occasional need to go into the offices in South Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to work autonomously across a full EDI remit where you can continue to grow and develop.

Your remit will include:

  • Providing professional workforce equalities, diversity and inclusion expertise for the organisation regarding internal and associated external equality and involvement issues
  • Managing workforce equality, diversity and inclusion improvement work streams and projects including planning, implementing, monitoring and reviewing
  • Working with managers to help them develop and deliver consistent good practice and creative workforce interventions to realise more diversity in the workforce, which is representative of the population of the local area.

The successful candidate must be able to start at relative short notice and be able to demonstrate an in depth knowledge of meaningful workforce equality issues and the changing requirements in order to design, improve and implement systems and process which accessible to all and increase representation in targeted areas. Experience in a marge complex Public Sector organisation is essential.
