Kingston University is going places. One of the most diverse universities in the country and named one of top 40 in country and best for design in latest Guardian University Guide league table rankings. We are passionate about enhancing our students' life chances by helping them make the most of their learning opportunity and equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed in the 21st Century's demanding workplace. We recognise that we need to continue the pace of change and to create and sustain an organisational culture that embeds new ways of working. A high-performing and customer-focused HR function is central to our future and achieving our ambitions.

We are now looking for an experienced and talented OD Partner to join us as the Organisational Development function is growing, with recognition that the development of the structure and people of the University to ensure an optimum working environment can support the high level performance of our people. Working closely with the Head of OD and a team of OD Partners, you will have responsibility for a range of initiatives focused on change, across both the culture and behaviour of the organisation.

You will play a key role in contributing to the wider OD strategy in formulating plans to deliver relevant interventions and support, working closely with senior stakeholders to influence thinking where needed. This role also collaborates closely with the HR Business Partners, to identify where OD activity would help deliver the required change, using your knowledge of recognised tools and techniques, both in assessment and project delivery.

Your aim will be to develop the University’s engagement with its people, focusing on establishing critical strategic conversations across the organisation as well as measuring levels of engagement and this individual will also have a close eye on professional developments in OD across both the HEI sector and beyond, to ensure we stay at the forefront of recent thinking and modern approaches.

Ideally, you will be degree educated and possess recognised professional certification (CIPD or equivalent) or equivalent skills and experience. Successful candidates will have a proven background as an OD practitioner , though specific experience of Higher Education is not essential and we would welcome applications from a variety of sector backgrounds.

Hybrid working is available, we anticipate a campus presence for 3 days a week will be required.
