A new temporary job opportunity has arisen working in the Workforce Development team for Birmingham City Council, the largest local authority in the UK. This is a superb time to join the HR team in a period of change, transition and growth.
Your new role
As a Learning and Development Officer, you will provide, support and give advice and guidance on workforce strategy that is in line with the People Strategy at Birmingham City Council. You will be contributing to research, review and development of new and already existing Organisational Development methodologies. You will also be working on the Council's Apprenticeship Programme, coaching to equip colleagues with skills to engage in the programme.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to apply for this role, you will need to have customer experience, such as working with external training providers and have advanced Excel skills. You must be confident in delivering presentations to senior managers and colleagues as well as have the ability to engage with different audiences. You must be able to work on your own initiative also.
What you'll get in return
This a temporary assignment, where you will be directly involved in the development of colleagues within the Council. This role will be working from home.
