About the role

It is an exciting time to join Central YMCA. We are ambitious in our plans to make the Charity an amazing place to work. Armed with a new strategy, a new set of values and with our new Chief Resources Officer heading up the HR function, we are looking to shake up our HR Strategy and develop a plan to deliver a meaningful offering to our employees, while promoting an open, transparent, and co-created culture. We are aiming high.

We are looking for a Learning and Development Manager to join our team of three. We want our staff to work in an EDI focussed environment which supports continuous development, being led by high quality managers. This role will be instrumental in ensuring this comes to life.

Working alongside a newly created role of HR Manager, with support from our HR Advisor, you will drive our performance support framework, support development of Equality Diversity and Inclusion conversations and initiatives, champion organisational and employee growth through continuous development of our staff and our managers, while designing and delivering initiatives to ensure we manage and measure our employees’ engagement effectively.

About you

Reporting into our new Chief Resources Officer, you will have previous experience in similar L&D positions, bringing a background in learning design and delivery, establishing yourself as the go to person within the Organisation when it comes to everything learning.

To be successful in the role you should be able to demonstrate:

  • Chartered CIPD status (or working towards it).
  • Experience in addressing management development needs.
  • Experience of facing challenges with a solutions-orientated approach.
  • Solid understanding of learning and development interventions and how they support businesses.
