Your new role
Acting as a Business Partner to specified areas, providing partnering support and driving commercially led HR decisions to enable the business to proactively deliver. Provide comprehensive and pragmatic operational ER/HR support and solutions as required in line with company policies and legal requirements. Deliver leadership/ people development and HR Policy training across the business.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Advise, guide and support line managers on a range of ER issues at all stages and complexity relating to employee relations, recruitment, engagement, performance, absence management, retention and development et al
* Manage the appraisal process in designated areas of the business working closely with managers to ensure objectives are set, reviewed and training needs identified
* Work closely with the management team to ensure training needs are met through external or internal courses and one to one development
* Provide regular Employment Law updates across the business
* Support the HR Team and wider business in driving through the actions identified in the annual Employee Survey
* Devise and deliver in-house training for the implementation of HR policies
* Support the Head of HR/Senior HRBP with any re-structuring or organisational changes
* Manage colleague relationships by responding promptly and accurately to queries and manage expectations
* Support the Bid Team by reviewing TUPE Clauses and advising accordingly when requested
* Take the lead on TUPE as required prior to and following contract wins or acquisitions
* Liaise with Trade Union in all aspects of working practice when appropriate
* Visit other company sites as and when required to action HR/ER matters
* Ensure the monthly HR Measures relating to turnover, absence, training and headcount are accurate prior to inclusion in the monthly Board report
* Work within the HR budgetary requirements adopting a commercial approach
* Ensure HR matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with legal and company requirements
* Continuously seek to improve processes and practices within the HR team
* Support Global Head Office, Chennai, India in Global HR Projects
* Ensure the company remains compliant with all Investors in People requirements
What you'll need to succeed
* CIPD Level 5 or above or equivalent experience
* Thorough understanding of employment law
* Trade Union experience desirable but not essential
* Generalist HR remit with TUPE and strong ER experience
* Experience of providing advice to line managers on complex employee relations issues
* Ability to collate and deliver in-house training to Line Managers and Employees
