A leading Charity is seeking a People Advisor to join their team. This role is available on a full time or part time basis ( 30 hours )
Your new role
The People team undertakes all aspects of HR support alongside the Managers and Directors regarding the lifecycle of the employees; through Recruitment, Induction, Probation, Learning & Development, Maternity/Absence, and Leavers and Exit procedure's A high quality, pragmatic, timely and solutions focused level of advice and support is key to the reputation and integrity of the People team.
The People team is heavily involved in resourcing requirements both permanent and temporary. This involves undertaking bespoke recruitment campaigns to corporate roles, using appropriate media, agencies, assessment methods and materials. The People Advisor is key in supporting and managing the resourcing requirements of the areas and ensuring managers adhere to safe, fair and effective methods. In addition, there is active involvement in the design and running of assessment centres, and senior level recruitment campaigns including on boarding.
What you'll need to succeed
CIPD qualification or relevant experience.
Knowledge and understanding of current Employment Law and HR Practices and their day-to-day application
Proven track record in operational HR including experience of dealing with complex issues e.g. disciplinaries, grievances, Employment Tribunals.
Experience of advising managers to develop and performance manage their people
Experience of providing a client service using a variety of methods: telephone, email and face to face.
You will have extensive and highly tuned interpersonal skills, be credible and authentic in supporting others and have gravitas.
