HR manager

Working Chance has an exciting opportunity for a CIPD-qualified HR generalist who can turn their hand to anything in a broad standalone HR role, supporting our small, dynamic London-based charity.

We’re looking for someone who is self-aware and non-judgemental, with strong emotional intelligence and great people skills. You’ll share our passion for Working Chance’s mission – to transform the employment landscape for women with convictions and to support these women to find roles they can thrive in. On the practical side, you’ll need at least five years’ experience in an HR generalist role combined with solid knowledge of UK employment legislation and its application. Experience in advising line managers is essential, as is a strong understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion issues so that you make sure that our commitment to EDI is a meaningful ongoing commitment and not a tick box exercise.

We’re a very friendly team, driven and determined to be the best charity we can in order to make the most impact for the women we serve.

Preferred hours for this role are 21 hours a week, but Working Chance is open to discussions with candidates who are available for fewer hours (or variable hours each week) with 14 hours per week as a minimum.

If you think this sounds like the challenge you’re looking for, we’d love to hear from you. To apply, please send a full CV and a supporting statement setting out how you meet the person specification and why you're the right person for the job to jobs@workingchance.org with the job title in the subject line. All applications will be acknowledged but only candidates shortlisted for interview will be contacted after that.

This vacancy will be kept open on a rolling basis until we make an appointment – candidates are strongly encouraged to get applications in as soon as possible.
