Assistant Director - National Engagement Service

Job title: Assistant Director – National Engagement Service (Midlands and East of England region)
Location: Home based with travel in the Midlands and East of England region and to London & Leeds
Role:  Permanent and Full time
Salary: Circa £65,000 (FTE)

About you

We are seeking a credible and experienced workforce leader who is highly effective in building purposeful relationships, working collaboratively and leading people.

You will use your skills and experience in advocacy, influencing and negotiation to represent employers’ views, underpinned by evidence and impact, to shape national policy and promote good practice.

This is a great opportunity to join a highly performing team at a time when the HR and OD profession continues to be central to the NHS recovery and long term ambitions.  Our networks are turning their attention to the future of work and the HR profession in 2030. 

You will lead input into the design and delivery of professional networks to support employers and seek insight to inform our work in critical areas such as –

  • Workforce supply
  • Employment practice
  • Improving staff experience

Experience of working in true partnership with trade unions is also required given are leading role in the national and regional social partnership forums.
