System Workforce Planning Manager, to £53219 pa + bens, FTC until November 2022, NHS, home based

Your new role
This organisation is recruiting to various roles across two new teams within our People Programme - Workforce Planning and Partnering Team and our Workforce Redesign Team. These teams will be at the heart of co-creating and delivering system wide workforce solutions and lead on system working. This post is critical to the organisation accurately understand supply gaps across all parts of the system - including acute, community, primary, mental health and social care to prioritise efforts effectively to deliver excellent person-centred care. The System Workforce Planning Manager will be an integral role in Healthier Together (ICS function) and will focus on delivering consistent workforce intelligence and assumptions to develop a system baseline and a 1, 3 and 5 year workforce plan - building on the previous work - to support this aim. You will work alongside, and at times within, talented HR/workforce and planning teams within local employer organisations to provide capacity, drive and leadership to our workforce planning agenda.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience in workforce planning. You will need to be a dynamic individual with a positive and proactive approach and be able to develop rapport with stakeholders quickly. Previous NHS or social care experience isn't necessary, however a good understanding of strategic NHS and Social Care issues, priorities, service developments and workforce implications will be highly desired - alongside a very keen eye for detail and proven analytical/workforce planning skills.

This post is home based but travel to Bristol will be required at times.

* Standard working week of 37.5 hours
* Holiday entitlements of 27 days per year, plus eight general and public holidays, rising to 33 days after 10 years' service
