This is an exciting opportunity to join St Edward’s School’s  HR Team in a hands-on, varied role with the primary purpose of facilitating staff recruitment and dealing with the associated compliance issues. You will also support the Head of HR with all aspects of the employee life cycle such as learning and development and employee relations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working alongside the other HR Advisor (Recruitment) to support staff recruitment activities
  • Maintaining the School’s Single Central Register
  • Ensuring that applicants receive a professional and comprehensive recruitment service
  • Providing generalist HR advice and guidance on employment-related queries to colleagues
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant employment and sector specific legislation and appropriate codes of practice.

You will need to be Level 3 CIPD qualified (or working towards this) as well as possess up to date knowledge of the ‘safer recruitment in schools’ guidelines, safeguarding in an educational or similar setting. You will also need experience of supporting a busy recruitment schedule and of maintaining a compliance related database.
