MAF is an international Christian aviation charity serving 26 developing countries to reach the world’s most isolated people. We are looking for a senior HR professional to join our HR team based in Folkestone, Kent and take the HR lead in the provision of services to UK based staff.
Responsibilities
Team Summary:
The HR team is committed to the attraction and retention of a highly engaged and performing workforce that understands and connects with our vision to see isolated communities changed by the love of Christ. We do this by nurturing a supportive and encouraging environment, where strong relationships are built, personal growth, innovation and creativity is encouraged, and performance achieved. The UK HR Manager role sits within the HR team which also covers international HR and recruitment.
Job Summary:
To lead on the provision of high quality, responsive and personable HR services to the UK Team. To support the creation of a work environment which promotes high levels of staff engagement, wellbeing, and performance. This will include a lead role in UK recruitment and induction as well as performance management processes and learning and development initiatives.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
To excel in this role, you will be CIPD qualified level 7, have substantial experience in a senior HR role developing and implementing HR strategies and policies, recruitment campaigns and L&D initiatives. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of employment law, a can-do attitude and significant experience.

Benefits:
- Salary £37,000FTE (pro-rata to part time)
- Part time 30 hours per week (over 4 days)
- Non-contributory pension scheme for staff of 10% salary on joining.
- Annual leave entitlement 22 days per year plus 8-statutory paid public holidays (pro-rata to part time).
