Director of People & Organisational Development
Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW)
The Director of People and OD is a unique opportunity to join DHCW and to play a vital role in helping to determine and lead the future direction both for DHCW and for digital services across NHS Wales. This is a significant leadership role both on an organisational and national level in Wales.
You will hold corporate responsibility jointly with other Board members for the strategic direction, corporate policy making and development and delivery of DHCW’s aims and objectives. As a strategic leader you will have the exciting opportunity of designing the organisation, shaping new ways of working and developing a positive and inclusive organisational culture.
Internally, it will have corporate responsibility for and provide leadership to the People & OD Directorate who will be supporting and enabling the organisation through innovative people, OD, and inclusion strategies and programmes; Externally the role will support the digital workforce leadership community as well as leading the development of the digital workforce strategy to meet the future needs of the NHS in Wales.
The role holder will play a pivotal part in driving improved workforce intelligence, stronger workforce planning, supported by workforce development and improvement. The role will provide a national focus for the development of a strategic digital careers management approach that will help the NHS meet the needs of both services and staff in the future.
