Procurement Manager (Interim)

Procurement Manager interim job, Devon based housing provider, highly competitive day rate, outside of IR35

Your new company
You will be working for a provider of housing solutions based across Devon, in a role which is largely remote working. This industry leading organisation has recently found themselves with good investment, pushing their proposition even further ahead of their competition.

Your new role
You will be working as a Procurement Manager on an interim basis. Your responsibilities will be centred around getting the procurement department to a smooth running standard over an approx 6 month period (this is variable around how long it takes to get the job done) and will include leading the team to support agreed objectives, providing professionally guided training for colleague to promote best practice, constructively challenging and influencing stakeholders, and application of specialist knowledge to identify, integrate and implement cost reduction and process improvements.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need a long and demonstrable knowledge of the procurement landscape, ideally across varying sectors to have picked up a diapason of varying skills and methods to ensure success. You will be a highly confident orator and presenter, and have been proven at influencing developing colleagues, peers and directors. You will be MCIPS qualified, or have ample high level experience to demonstrate your competence. Ideally you will be local to Devon to come to the office with ease when required but a largely home based hybrid model is in place so you can be anywhere in the UK, as long as you are happy to make the journey to the office in Devon for meetings as required.
