HR Consultant

BackupHR is a well established, specialist HR Consultancy. Based in East Anglia we need to recruit at least one Senior HR Consultant to continue our development.

For nearly 15 years we have been supporting a wide variety of SME clients in both the private and not-for-profit sectors. Each consultant works closely with our expanding range of clients,  who are predominantly based in the East Anglia and London areas.

We really do provide Business Solutions to HR Problems, understanding what our clients want to achieve and then advising them on the safest way to get there. We promote safe and effective management practices across a broad range of HR, employment and business issues. We sort documentation, handbooks, policies and procedures so they are compliant.

The role of a consultant is enormously varied, at times challenging but always rewarding. No two days are the same, and can range from answering simple telephone queries to organising far-reaching organisational change.

OUR REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for an experienced HR generalist, ideally with a track record across several different employment sectors and different sizes of employers. This would include SMEs and/or Owner businesses. And senior or HR management team experience with one or more organisations.

Qualifications are important to us and you will have reached Chartered or Fellow Membership with the CIPD, or be well on your way. Our perfect candidate would also be an LLM (Masters Degree in Employment Law) or equivalent.
We would also expect a deep and extensive knowledge and understanding of current employment legislation, as well as good business skills, strong commercial awareness and the ability to sell yourself and BackupHR services. And a full, clean driving licence.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Account Management and Business Development
  • HR Consultancy
  • Develop client contractual documentation and employment policies.
  • Coach and mentor client contacts in good HR and employment practices.
  • Client Training and Development.

We also expect everyone in the team to contribute to the on-going development and revision of BackupHR Employment, HR, Health, Safety and Wellbeing policies, practices, forms, letters, and all other documentation to adapt for client use in line with good and safe management practices and recent case law.

There is plenty of opportunity to help in the writing of articles, blogs and client newsletters, as well as contribute to our monthly webinars and training courses.
