Your new company
Working for a charity based care company located in Derby. This is a full time role that will see you working a hybrid model with a maximum of 2 days per week in office.
Your new role
Our client is seeking an individual that is well versed within polices, standards and quality. This position will require you to review existing polices, give advice on adherence and work with the internal auditing team in the event of any amendments that may be required.
Specification as follows:
* Providing assurance to the Board and Executive Leadership Team, that the organisation has a robust suite of policies, procedures and documents appropriate to the varied nature of its services.
* A commitment to continuous review and implementation of policies that drive improvement across the business
* An organisational culture of openness and collaboration ensuring transparency and understanding throughout the organisation
* Providing effective leadership
* To maintain an overarching process for the review, revalidation or update to existing company policies, ensuring that they reflect current Government, Regulatory and Legal requirements and best practice.
* To support the production, development and review of Health and Safety policies to ensure they meet current legislation
* To ensure that all policy changes, including the introduction of new policy, is properly and appropriately communicated
* To research and write new policies relating to the work of this charity, liaising with all Heads of Departments and Operational Managers to ensure that all policies are workable and appropriate for their services.
What you'll need to succeed
You will come from a policy, quality and standards background; there is much flexibility surrounding the industry you have worked in, however the core competencies and understanding is vital. You will have a proven record of researching and drafting polices, have a detailed understanding of governance and how it impacts policy development as well as be a very strong and clear communicator.
