Would you like to bring your energy, skills and passion to our team at NRP? You will work with significant autonomy and collaborate with the leadership team to support our business with everyday issues and build a people strategy that is future fit and supports our future and rapid growth over the next eighteen months.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for co-creating our new people and talent function and nurturing our team and culture. You will need to be a strong generalist with a track record of setting up a HR function and working strategically and tactically.

The role will be Bristol based with travel to our other offices in Exeter, London, Truro and Prague.


  • Establish and develop a world class people and talent function across the whole employment lifecycle: attracting, recruiting, onboarding, retaining, recognising, developing, performing and separating
  • Partner, support and coach our leadership and management on all aspects of people management
  • Build the NRP employer brand internally and externally 
  • Ensure a high and ever improving team of talented professionals to keep our organisational capabilities robust in order to service our clients, deliver our strategy and keep us moving forward
  • Get to really know our people developing strong stakeholder relationships and excellent internal communications 
  • Benchmark external best practice, network and notice what is on the horizon in our sector to keep us up to date and ahead of the game people-wise
  • Develop our organisational structure, career development framework, succession pathways and salary banding across the business to build the skills of tomorrow today
  • Ensure robust salary benchmarking, job evaluation and moderation to enable annual salary reviews
  • Lead the delivery of learning and development from entry level to leadership supporting the organisation to have the skills, behaviours and capabilities required for each role
  • Act as a culture carrier and role model
  • Lead a review and include Diversity and Inclusion initiatives within the employment lifecycle and work with the wider team to raise awareness and best practice
  • Create and maintain company administration, policies and procedures in partnership with the Leadership Team, Practice Manager, Finance, Health and Safety and other relevant stakeholders to ensure legal and regulatory needs are met
  • Establish clear people and talent performance measures to quantify and qualify our employee experience and engagement and share with the Board at regular intervals

To be successful in this role, you will be

  • Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualified
  • A strong HR generalist with proven track record of getting stuck in
  • Happy to champion and deliver a full people and talent service from tactical administration to working strategically with the leadership team
  • Committed to continuous professional development and knowledge of current people and talent trends
  • Competent to re-evaluate, design and implement people policies and processes
  • Experienced in talent acquisition and creating resource plans for a long-term sustainable future
  • Commercially aware
  • Able to embrace change using technology
  • A skilled communicator, trusted advisor, influencer and talented in stakeholder management and employee communications
  • Trustworthy, adaptable, collaborative, confident, warm, human and impactful
  • Comfortable in a high standard, agile consultancy that is more entrepreneurial in style than traditional professional services companies
  • Driven to co-create a fulfilling workplace and support the growth and success of the organisation
  • Efficient in problem solving to get to the nub of issues quickly and create a positive impact


  • £40,000 - £50,000 pa salary depending on experience

Second round interviews will be arranged individually. Successful candidates will spend time with us for an interview, give a short presentation and take a psychometric test.
