About us We are the independent regulator of higher education in England.
We aim to ensure that every student, whatever their background, has a fulfilling experience of higher education that enriches their lives and careers. We also care about supporting and developing our staff, working together to achieve more than each of us can do alone.
We’re proud of our people, our culture and the benefits we offer. At the OfS we want to create a welcoming and engaging working environment which is free from discrimination. We particularly welcome applications from people with a disability or impairment, those who identify as lesbian, bisexual, gay or transgender, and those from a black, Asian and minority ethnic background, as these groups are under-represented within our workforce.
We’re looking for skilled, committed people who care about students and their experience of higher education. Join us and you’ll be part of an energetic, forward-looking organisation with high ambitions and big opportunities for our people.
The role
Our professional and supportive HR team facilitate this work, and despite the challenges of the pandemic, we recently shaped a well-received foundation digital learning programme. We are now ready to build on that with the creation of a high-profile Regulatory Practice Learning Programme and it is here that you could take on a deeply interesting role in which you will make a tangible difference to the skills of the OfS team, and in the process, to the educational experiences of students.
This forward-thinking project is primarily focused on developing an engaging blended learning programme for OfS regulatory staff to support the development and delivery of the OfS’s 2022-25 strategy, on which it is currently consulting. Under the guidance of the L&D Business Partner, you will plan, manage and monitor the project to develop this learning programme, including e-Learning, face-to-face, experiential learning, and coaching. Seeing to it that project phases and milestones are being met on time and within budget, you will identify and mitigate issues that could potentially derail your project, and you will provide the key stakeholders with regular updates. Using your understanding of outcome-based learning to help us define and develop achievable yet ambitious high quality learning opportunities and shape how best to evaluate these. This exciting project is being sponsored by the CEO and Directors, so you will find a great deal of support for your work.
