Head of Learning & Organisational Development

Steeped in history, yet ambitious and progressive, York St John is looking for a new Head of Learning and OD to support the University to deliver Strategy 2026.  Genuinely transformative for our students, York St John University exceeds expectations, has expanded to include a London campus and aims to attract 10,000 students in the coming years.  With a drive to increase the diversity of our brilliant workforce, we are currently working on submissions for both the Race Equality Charter and Athena Swann.

As a small, friendly HROD team, we would love to welcome an experienced Learning and OD practitioner to embed OD across the University. As a member of a three-strong HROD Leadership Team, you will be instrumental in achieving our new Service Purpose and Vision and help embed the implementation of our new HR and Payroll system. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the L&OD offer post COVID and contribute to several strategic projects alongside ensuring delivery of an impactful and respected learning offer.   The role will provide support, advice and challenge to leaders in a consultancy capacity, and have the chance to establish new expectations and a refreshed service to the University. You will develop and deliver a robust OD plan and create a step-change in HROD’s strategic contribution – as we continue to deliver the People and Culture Strategy.
