About The Role

Working alongside HR and Accounts, the role will be responsible for the preparation of the monthly payroll whilst overseeing the reward and benefit services to all employees. You will have experience overseeing an internal payroll, pension auto-enrolment, and insurance policies for multiple entities and a knowledge of reward and benefits.

* Take responsibility for the delivery of our clients flexible benefit scheme
* Knowledge of managing a flexible benefits scheme; including maintaining records, monthly HRIS reporting, renewals and liaising with brokers, benefit providers and third-party suppliers
* Ensure that all packages offered comply with current legislation
* Monitor employee benefit entitlements and communicate the offerings when eligible to join
* Maintain accurate records of all payroll deductions including private medical, company cars, travel insurance and all paid benefits which are individually selected by the employee (such as dental insurance, gym membership, buy/sell additional holiday days)
* Manage and process all employee monthly expenses paid through the payroll
* Manage and maintain the Apprenticeship funding portal
* Insurance renewals including Life, Personal Accident, Income Protection, Travel
* Assist with the annual external auditors

Payroll and Pensions

* To ensure that the companies 2 payrolls totalling 1100 employees, are completed accurately within the pre-defined timescales
* Manage the full maternity pay, paternity pay and shared parental pay process
* Working knowledge of pension auto-enrolment and pension administration
* Process BACS payments for all payroll related payments
* Annual filing of all year-end reporting
* Monthly reconciliation of both payrolls and associated nominal accounts
* Reporting of data to ONS (Office of National Statistics) and gender pay gap data
* Provide information, reports and data in line with company policy and data protection
* Main point of contact for tax (and other similar) authorities
* Management of Benefit in Kind via the payroll system (inc. Company Car Tax, Private Medical Insurance)
* Act as point of contact (along with the Payroll Administrator) for managers, employees and suppliers in relation to payroll and benefit issues

Person Specification

* Experience running an internal payroll
* Experience of Benefits
* Discreet with regards to confidential information
* Knowledge of HMRC requirements
* Strong accountancy and analytical skills
* Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel
* Experience using a specialist payroll system
* An exceptional 'can do' attitude being naturally friendly and approachable
* Strong attention to detail, methodical and a passion for doing the job right first time
* Ability to explain financial information to non-financial people in a clear and concise way

Salary: Up to £50,000.00 per year
