Your new company
Our large retail client based in Leicester are currently seeking a new HR Manager to join their established HR Team and as Manager you will be the strategic and operational partner to the business.

Your new role
Working at a local level with your HR team you will be developing and leading the European people strategy, involved in the entire HR process from Employee Engagement to Organisational Design, Performance Management, HR Systems, HR polices and some ad hoc project work. Duties to include:


* Manage HR team; advisors, admin & recruitment providing consistent coaching & development

* Deliver transactional and transformational people activities to drive business performance and process improvement
* Support the business with the management and development of their people, identifying individual and collective development needs, providing advice and ad-hoc training
* Performance Management, Development and Talent Management with robust succession planning
* Lead activities to recognise and increase levels of employee engagement
* Coach and support the Leadership team
* Support the Executive team to drive effective organisational design
* Escalation point for complex employee relations cases
* Driving and overseeing HR projects

This is a fantastic opportunity in the retail industry to join and lead an established HR function, it is a full time role with flexible hybrid options, occasional UK travel is required and the package is up to £55,000 for the right candidate.

What you'll need to succeed
Due to the nature of this role the client are looking for experienced HR Managers, ideally with recent relevant experience in Retail, FMCG or similar. You will need to be extremely commercially minded with a minimum Level 5 CIPD Qualification or equivalent and experience of Trade Unions, working with Works Councils or similar. You will need to have proven experience in partnering to Senior Leadership team and have excellent stakeholder management and relationship building experience. The client are also looking for candidates who have experience in restructures from a process and change management perspective.
