With You, the drugs, alcohol and mental health support charity, is seeking an Executive Director of People & Inclusion to provide clear direction and inspirational leadership to the organisation and its People, Diversity and Inclusion, Learning and Communications teams.
The charity is on an exciting journey to radically improve their ability to help people recover from their substance use or mental health issues. With You works with people on their goals, whether that’s staying safe and healthy, making small changes or stopping an unwanted habit altogether. They provide a free and confidential service without judgement to more than 100,000 people a year.
This role will take a lead on ensuring that With You has the right people with the right skills in place to improve outcomes for people who use their services and to increase the number of people they help. You will be joining a lively and determined Executive Team that performs well together and is currently responding to criticism of the sector in the Carol Black report and changing the face of recovery for their service users. Whilst With You has already received an Investors in People Gold accreditation as a great place to work, this position will build capacity across the organisation and teams to enable the transformation needed to achieve strategic goals and to turn a good organisation into an outstanding one.
The successful candidate will have considerable experience in a senior and strategic people/HR role at a large or complex organisation and experience of leading successful change projects to improve ways of working. You will have a track record of effectively leading, coaching and developing teams and have the ability to translate organisational strategy into relevant people strategies and approaches, and then deliver these. Finally, you will have the ability to build strong relationships with people at all levels of an organisation, with excellent communication and engagement skills.
