Your new company
This team support a department of 600 employees varying from professional services, clinical and medical staffing. The HR team is a healthy size of circa 6 and also have the support of a central HR team where they have expert advice on hand for complex ER matters and OD tasks such as TUPE and Change.
Due to a permanent vacancy arising, the team require an experienced HR professional to come on board as a temporary staff member, to support them through the next 6 months whilst they recruit to the role. There is the opportunity for the temporary candidate to apply for the role too, if you feel the culture, role and team are right for you longer term.
Your new role
Your main focuses during the temporary period will be Recruitment, Job Evaluation and some day to day queries from managers. The recruitment will be end to end, including some interviewing for less experienced managers, managing the process right up to onboarding stages including right to work checking.
The organisation have thorough process/policies for job evaluation, employee relations, recruitment and general queries, so there is always a guide you can access as well as knowledge from colleagues and the central HR team.
What you'll need to succeed
A quick learner and someone who can hit the ground running is essential, the handover time with the departing team member is minimal, so our client would really like an experienced temp who can quickly grasp new systems, processes and get stuck in.
