Job Purpose: Our amazing staff look after our fantastic natural resources in Wales - rugged mountains and woodlands, beautiful landscapes and coastlines, and amazing wildlife. They do this because of what our natural resources provide for us: to help reduce the risk to people and properties of flooding and pollution; to look after special places for well-being, wildlife and timber; and to work with others to help us all to manage them sustainably.

It is our role as Staff Engagement specialists to build engagement with between our fantastic staff and our organisation – building a sense of belonging. 

We do this by building the connection through #TeamNRW events (such as #TeamNRW Day), facilitate listening to our staff’s voice through surveys and group, work helping to embed our organisational principles through engagement and collaboration.

We also help the organisation to embed our values, created by listening to our staff so that they reflect the people who work here and why they work here. We run our induction programme to provide a warm welcome to people joining us so they get a sense of what kind of organisation they are joining.

Your role will be to support the development and implementation of our Staff Engagement Plan through a variety of different workstreams and help us to create a human shaped organisation that is great to work for.

We’re looking for a specialist who can demonstrate:

  • Technical knowledge and experience of developing policy to effect change
  • Manage projects that will influence and impact on our organisational culture
  • An understanding of organisational culture and experience in an environment where positive change has been achieved
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Confidence to build effective working relationships with colleagues and partners
  • Theoretical and practical project management knowledge, techniques and software tools
  • Experience in risk management and/or change management
  • The ability to distil complex issues from multiple sources, including data sources, into clear options
  • Negotiating and influencing skills
  • Outstanding communication and inter-personal skills with a strong customer focus
  • Experience of either Organisational Development; Human Resource management; Staff Engagement and Project Management.

You must have a recognised qualification, degree and/or substantial relevant experience to be shortlisted for the role
