The Bedfordshire, Luton, and Milton Keynes Integrated Care System (BLMK ICS), is a partnership of health and care organisations that have come together to plan and deliver joined up services and to improve the health of people who live and work in their area. Following the recent appointment of Felicity Cox as Chief Executive Officer Designate of the Integrated Care Board (ICB), they are now seeking to appoint the Chief People Officer.

The role will form part of the ICB Executive Leadership Team (ELT).  As part of the ELT you will take collective responsibility for working together to ensure the ICB and system partners are well led, successful and managerially supported, enabling integration and delivery through the ICB. You will lead and influence complex transformation and improvement, through collaboration and mature partnership working.

As a member of the unitary board, you will be jointly responsible for planning and allocating resources to meet the four core purposes of integrated care systems; to improve outcomes in population health and healthcare; tackle inequalities in outcomes, experience, and access; enhance productivity and value for money and help the NHS support broader social and economic development.

Our system Chief People Officer will lead the development and delivery of the long-term people strategy of the Integrated Care System (ICS), ensuring this reflects and integrates the strategies of all relevant partner organisations within the ICS. The role will also be the Executive Board lead for internal People management and development (encompassing the ICB People & Development function - HR, OD, Culture and Workforce Planning).

You will bring to the role passion and enthusiasm and a commitment to promoting equality, valuing diversity, and championing working together will set you apart. You will be a visible and open leader with an approach that is centred around actively involving everyone, to drive innovative solutions and develop new opportunities. With a proven ability to build relationships across organisational boundaries at System, Place and Neighbourhood level.

If you feel you have the skills and behaviours to succeed in this post, then BLMK would look forward to receiving your application and meeting with you in due course. The ICB would particularly encourage applications from candidates with protected characteristics, as the ICS are committed to improving diversity within their system.
