The Organisation

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls.

We believe in the power and potential of every child. But this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it’s girls who are most affected.

Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges facing girls and all vulnerable children.

We support children’s rights from birth until they reach adulthood. And we enable children to prepare for – and respond to – crises and adversity. We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge.

We have been building powerful partnerships for children for over 80 years, and are now active in more than 70 countries.

The Opportunity

Plan International is undertaking a major technology and business transformation programme involving the implementation of new enterprise resource planning (ERP), which includes Finance and Supply Chain, project management for the purposes of tracking execution of grant and sponsorship funded development programmes and monitoring and evaluation systems reporting on the outcomes and impact of our work.  The scope of the programme will also include a new data warehouse and reporting environment.

Reporting to the Programme Director, this role will build and execute holistic and sustained change related to Programme Y.O.D.A within Plan International (Country Offices, Regional Hubs, Global Hub and National Organisations). The postholder will act as a global process owner for change related to Programme Y.O.D.A (i.e. change strategy, principles, methodology, tools and monitoring effectiveness).

About You

You will have significant professional expertise and experience in leading global change in complex organisations as well as a track record of leading and delivering innovative change strategies and approaches, particularly in relation to behaviour and cultural change.

Additionally, you will have:

  • The ability to work with cross functional, global and geographically dispersed teams
  • A fundamental understanding and experience of working in strategic and operational aspects of large, geographically dispersed, complex organisation and the ability to plan and prioritise work within that context
  •  Strong influencing, collaboration and decision-making skills across various stakeholder teams to ensure alignment and the ability to drive progress toward a common business objective
  • A high level of attention to detail with an accurate, thorough and reliable approach and the ability to plan and prioritise a varied workload within tight deadlines

Location: The location of this role can be flexible where Plan International has an office* that can employ on behalf of the Global Hub and you have the pre-existing right to work and live. (The preference would be for a time zone which can coordinate with GMT).

Type of role: 2 Year Fixed Term Contract
