The Team

The HR team sit in the heart of the organisation and provide expertise and support throughout the employee lifecycle. The team work closely with all areas of the business to help determine people plans and priorities.  The team cover a range of specialties and support each other in their delivery to the business.  

The Role

This is a hybrid role which sits across two core areas.  The first is providing Programme Management to our Research Analyst Programme (approximately 10 participants), co-ordinating cross practice requests for RA resource needs ensuring they meet both business and individual learning needs.  To support this, you will develop and maintain an additional external research analyst pool who can support with short term requests.  You will chair monthly programme meetings and RA learning forums and facilitate 6 monthly rotations between practices.  You will be a central point for the RAs, Programme Director, Learning & Development lead and Practice Line Managers. 

The second part of the role is to lead on permanent resourcing including developing role profiles, market mapping and streamlining our internal recruitment toolkit including interview guides and providing support to hiring managers.

Working in collaboration with the HR Business Partner you will focus on permanent recruitment including :

  • Networking and partnering with the Knowledge Hub to manage consistent external communications and messaging.
  • Reviewing and update applicant management system (Bamboo)
  • Develop recruitment data and trends
  • Shape internal recruitment guidance and advice to the whole team which reflects best practice
  • Support effective on-boarding

Working closely with all members of the HR Team, provide pragmatic and effective resource advice and  guidance. The role requires a confidence, able to forge strong working relationships quickly and gain an in depth understanding of organisational challenges.  

This is a hands-on role which requires you to switch between operational and strategic priorities, reactive and proactive HR, taking into consideration the short, medium and long term goals and objectives for the business.

The Candidate

You are an experienced recruiter and understand the full lifecycle and candidate experience.  Experience of managing graduate programmes is ideal but not essential.  You can manage a varied workload and are comfortable with having a number of competing priorities which will range across operational and strategic issues. Your experience in HR will enable you to know when to ask for support and when to flag potential issues. 

You easily flex your style and approach based on what the requirement is and will be adept at using professional influence to ensure good people management practice across all levels of the business. You believe in a HR best fit pragmatic approach whilst understanding the importance of consistency.

As an outstanding team player, you are happy to mentor more junior members of the team and support cross role learning.

The salary for this role is up to £37K depending on your experience.   We also offer a comprehensive learning and development programme, flexible working patterns and a matched company pension up to 5%.  You will have 26 days core holiday day plus a further 3 flexible days and public holidays which you can take whenever you want to. 

The role is based in our offices in Brighton & Hove (East Sussex) but you don’t need to be in the office every day, we work on a hybrid basis where travel to the office is expected for weekly team meetings and key company events.   However, you will already have the right to live and work in the UK.
