We are seeking to appoint a HR Business Partnering Lead to join our HR Department at Star Central, our head office in Lancashire.

​​​​​As HR Business Partnering Lead, you will facilitate the implementation of Star’s ambitious people strategy and manage key organisational change projects. You will lead the provision of a transformational Human Resources Business Partner Service and will directly line manage a team of HR Business Partners.

You will support the team to deliver high quality strategic and operational advice to school and trust leaders, helping them to support their staff, continue to improve the teaching and learning environment and deliver ambitious outcomes for our young people.

Insightful and resourceful, you’ll know what it takes to balance risk and you’ll fully understand how important it is to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. You will have a relevant people management degree or equivalent qualification as well as significant experience as a HR professional in a complex, multi-site organisation. Highly collaborative, you'll be a great communicator who's able to build relationships quickly and adapt your style to suit any situation. You will also be extremely organised, adept at seeing the bigger picture and able to remain resilient and adapt to changing situations.

Your focus will be strategic interface between trust schools and the HR team, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders to deliver an excellent service in line with the needs and priorities of Star Academies.

 

You will have:

  • CIPD graduate or equivalent formal HR qualification.
  • At least 3 years HR Management level experience.
  • Extensive experience of providing complex employee relations/generalist HR advice and guidance to Senior leaders.
  • Experience of developing effective HR systems, policies and procedures.
  • Experience of managing and effectively implementing HR change projects including TUPE and restructure within a complex environment.
  • Experience of developing positive and effective working relationships with trade unions or staff representative groups.
  • Experience of working across multiple sites.
