Lead a United Workforce and Real Change for the future of Health & Social Care in Surrey.

As an early pioneer, the Surrey integrated care system already has the foundations to redesign how services are provided across the Health, Care, Voluntary & Social Enterprise and local authority sectors.

As part of this, ‘United Surrey Talent’ is a strategy to create a new legacy, where teams across all sectors work seamlessly together to serve our residents.

It is an exciting time to join an ambitious and innovative organization. We are looking for an exceptional individual who can:

  • Personally lead our health and care united people strategy
  • Support system partners with a co-ordinated programme of delivery
  • Leverage the advantages of high digital investment
  • Develop the culture our people aspire to as part of a united team – from system to neighbourhood levels

This is a new type of role within the NHS which will allow great talent to flourish and lead the way for the country. Please get in touch for further information and a confidential first conversation. My details – 07930153672 / pete@mlcpartners.co.uk

LETTER TO APPLICANTS

Dear applicant,

The momentum to transform health and care is growing – not least enabled right now by the legislation being enacted on 1 July.  But this is not the only change.  Majors social care reforms are also underway and digital advancements are changing the way we all work and how care can be delivered.

The combination of health, care and digital advancements make now a truly exciting and unprecedented time of change in our lives and our careers.

Surrey has been a pioneer in these changes and most recently saw its CEO, Dr Claire Fuller, publish her national review of primary care, which provides a vision for neighbourhood teams supporting residents lead healthy lives with integrated teams around them.

As Chief People & Digital Officer, I have been delighted since my arrival in April 2021 to lead on the development of a new operating model for the ICS in readiness for July, the development of a united workforce strategy and an investment plan for digital advancements over the coming years.

I need a deputy to join me, who will enjoy the autonomy to make a difference without permission and to work alongside system HRDs in moving through our transformation – learning and adapting as we go.

Our strategy with sector partners needs the leadership of a workforce pioneer to shape and oversee the implementation in the years ahead.  We have agreed a significant joint investment fund with Surrey County Council, so as to demonstrate our commitment to this transformation and we have the sign-up of all system partners who will play key roles in making this happen.

With money and backing already achieved, this is a genuine opportunity for the right person to create their legacy for years to come.

WE ARE CHANGEMAKERS

Picture the scene. It’s 2015. A young(ish) Pete Marshall, top of his recruitment game, a top performer. But something didn’t feel right, something had to change.

A move to another agency or a career change wasn’t going to cut it. Pete needed more. Having always wanted to run his own business, now was the time to launch a new consultancy – a consultancy that listened, that was honest, that delivered a contemporary approach to recruitment for today’s businesses, emerging talent and consultants. Not the same old, same old.

And so MLC was established to not only be a recruitment partner of choice but to change the face and reputation of the recruitment industry.

2022 saw MLC undergo a change of its own with the introduction of Angharad Kenward as Co-CEO – energetic, ambitious, a true recruitment nerd. Pete had met his match.

Now, almost 10 years on, MLC is an award-winning agency for the public and private sector, 20 people strong and growing. We may look different from the MLC of 2015, but our commitment to building a business around our people, driving change and exceeding expectations remains the same.
