For over 30 years St Raphael’s Hospice have been providing expert hospice care for people in Merton and Sutton. With the help of our 174 skilled staff and dedicated volunteers, we are able to meet the emotional, spiritual and social needs of our patients, as well as those of their family and friends, we are there for everyone who needs us at the most difficult time of their lives. We are now seeking a new Head of HR for an initial 12 month period. Reporting into our joint Chief Executives, this role will lead a small HR team and is a crucial role to help maintain the people focus within our organisation. You will represent HR on the Strategic Leadership Team and the charity’s HR Committee and cover a fully generalist remit ensuring excellence in all HR Operations including, recruitment and selection, performance management, policies and procedures, sickness absence, training and development, remuneration and payroll.
As our professional lead in all matters HR you will also work closely with the joint Chief Executives on a strategic review of the function and consider how best to take the service forward in the future, so the ability to take an objective view and some experience of change management would also be highly desirable.
This role can be considered on either a full time or 0.8 basis (pro rata salary) and we have a strong preference for on site presence with occasional WFH due to the visibility required for this role.
