About the UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO)

The UKHO is an executive agency, sponsored by the Ministry of Defence. We work with a wide range of data partners to chart the world's oceans in order to develop and serve world leading software and data solutions to commercial shipping companies, navies and maritime organisations.

The role

The Early Careers & Apprentice Lead will be responsible for managing the UKHO early careers and apprenticeship schemes.

Championing and promoting the UKHO as an employer of choice, they will engage with other government departments, local employers/colleges/schools and attend careers fairs to widen the UKHO candidate pool and build a pipeline for future talent.

They will be responsible for managing the day-to-day providers for our apprenticeship schemes and will work with the business, HR business partners and resource team to understand future skill demands for the UKHO.

The role requires someone who has the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Experience of successfully implementing an early careers strategy is equally important.
