Salary: £21,739 - £27,030 depending on experience

The Prospect Trust is a leading Multi-Academy Trust in the South of England, with an aim of providing outstanding education for all learners within a family of local academies. There are currently three academies within the Trust: The Sixth Form College Farnborough, Tomlinscote School and Frimley Church of England Junior School.

The Trust has already created a number of centralised functions to support the delivery of outstanding education, including HR, Finance & Payroll, Estates & Facilities and Careers Guidance.  This is an exciting time for either an experienced HR Assistant or an individual seeking to embark upon a HR career to join our team, as we will support the successful post holder to understand the processes that apply across Trust academies, along with the nuances of providing HR support and advice in the education sector.

The HR Team offers first line customer support to all Trust staff.  As this role deals with a wide range of queries covering all aspects of the employee life cycle, it offers an excellent insight into all areas of HR. This includes a diverse range of activities, including but not limited to, co-ordinating recruitment campaigns, preparing employment contracts, providing generalist HR advice, organising training courses and processing family friendly leave requests. Further details are set out in the attached job description.

There is never a quiet moment in HR so this role will suit somebody who thrives in a busy team-working environment. When providing first line advice you will need to assess the nature of the query and the terms of employment that apply to the particular staff group, in order to provide advice and guidance or appropriately escalate the issue.

To be successful in the role you will have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals. The ability to work as part of a team and work independently is essential, as is high attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of HR records and documentation.

This is a rewarding and developing role, but you will need to enjoy a fast-paced challenge at a time of change for our team. Proven experience within a HR role is an advantage as is an existing CIPD qualification, however the Trust would consider sponsoring the successful candidate to achieve or further their current qualification status.  The Trust will offer extensive training on any external database systems, but would expect the successful candidate to have significant experience of utilising Microsoft office, particularly Word.

The successful candidate will be required to work 37 hours per week and this is NOT a term-time only role.

If you would like to have a further discussion before applying for this role please contact Becky Young (HR Director) on 07864 967648.

Further details of this exciting role and how to apply can be found on our website https://farnborough.ac.uk/working/show/386

Please complete the application form and equality monitoring form and email all completed applications to rebecca.young@prospecttrust.org.uk by 9:00am on Monday 11 July 2022. Early applications are encouraged as interviews may take place for suitable candidates prior to the closing date of this advert. The Trust may also choose to select before the advertised closing date.

The Prospect Trust takes the control and processing of employee data very seriously and is committed to act in line with the GDPR regulations; please read the attached applicant privacy notice which explains how your data is processed.

We welcome applications from all suitably qualified applicants, however all disabled applicants who meet our minimum criteria will be invited for interview. Any future offer of employment would remain subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including enhanced DBS clearance.

The Prospect Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people within our care and requires all staff and volunteers to share and demonstrate this commitment. Any future offer of employment remains subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including enhanced DBS clearance, a health check and references.
