Our client, a leading Higher Education Institute in London now has an opportunity for an experienced Immigration Compliance Specialist to join them on a permanent basis. Please note this role is open to hybrid working arrangements including two days per week from the office.



Working as an integral part of the HR operational and recruitment team, this role offers a key HR service focused on compliance oversight of staff immigration activity for the organisation. As the main point of contact for a range of internal stakeholders you will provide authoritative advice on PBS and non-PBS work visa routes and associated processes. These visa types include Tier 2/Skilled Worker, Tier 5 (Government Authorisation Scheme), Global Talent, Tier 4/Student Visa and visa routes pertaining to research and academic visitors to the UK. As the UKVI "Key Contact" the role will also be responsible for the monitoring and reporting of UKVI related compliance activities.



This is a diverse role that touches on the full remit of staff immigration activity within a large and complex Higher Education organisation. The role would suit a team player who is able to connect with a wide and diverse range of staff and exercise sound judgment to provide sensitive support, lead on policy and process creation, and deal with complex UKVI related activity.



To be considered for this role you will require:

* Education to degree level or equivalent professional work experience, together with expert knowledge and application of UK Immigration legislation for employment purposes and the associated UKVI guidance
* Experience of providing Points Based System and associated work visa route advice
* The ability to understand and interpret complex external regulations and able to make recommendations to accommodate policy changes
* Experience of designing and drafting process guidance documentation
* Experience of dealing with diverse client, in a complex and fast paced environment
* A demonstrable ability to deliver briefings and training to a variety of audiences
