We work with a wide range of data partners to chart the world's oceans in order to develop and serve world leading software and data solutions to commercial shipping companies, navies and maritime organisations.
The role
The Head of Reward and Policy will undertake critical analysis of complex business practices, management of project work and clear communication of change/policy proposals and their potential impacts to develop effective reward and policy strategies that reflect civil service policy and guidelines, legislation, the strategic needs of the Agency and the wider political context.
You’ll work with key stakeholders, developing strategic and influential relationships, working closely with the Head of HR Delivery and UKHO Transformation Board, to develop HR policy and support the delivery of the People function vision, aligning to UKHO’s strategic plans.
This is a key leadership and managerial role where you will be required to build capability and nurture talent, ensuring your team of reward and policy specialists continues to deliver high quality outcomes across the challenging agenda, often within tight deadlines.
MCIPD qualified or with significant HR management experience, you will have a successful track record of designing, developing, and embedding complex Reward or Capability strategies at large scale and be able to evidence taking a lead role in the development and delivery of annual pay awards in the Civil Service, including Trade Union negotiations.
This will also be supported by your excellent business case development skills and ability to use data, insight, and evidence to influence and inform senior leaders at Board level and in representing the Agency at cross-government forums, building respected relationships with key stakeholders in Cabinet Office and HM Treasury.
In return
UKHO is a great place in which to explore your career potential. While our projects are career-defining, the work/life balance that we can offer you is equally exceptional.
