An experienced, proactive Senior HR Advisor to join a manufacturing and retail business in Southampton.

Your new company

My client is an established brand within manufacturing and retail who employ over 390 people across the company (2 x sites in Hampshire).

Your new role

It is the responsibility of the Senior HR Advisor to respond quickly and effectively to a constantly changing environment. You will assist the HR Director with designing HR strategies and policies which integrate with the company's core objectives and are fast and focused in delivery. You will assist in facilitating the structural and operational changes needed to improve staff performance in all areas of the company and which harmonise the changes demanded by various business strategies.

Key responsibilities include:


* To provide first line generalist HR advice and support on terms and conditions of employment and HR policies and procedures, with a view to resolving matters efficiently and effectively.
* Responsible for staff and managers on both sites in the UK
* Provide advice and guidance on employee relation issues to team leaders, supervisors and managers across the business.
* Provide advice and guidance on occupational health referrals, absence management issues and return to work cases to team leaders, supervisor and managers across the business.
* Provide advice and guidance on job descriptions, recruitment, induction, restructuring and redeployment processes, advising on best practice.

Working hours are 40 / week, 8.30am-5.30pm (Monday-Friday). This position is office-based till you pass your probationary period (6 months max), then it will be hybrid working of 3 days office vs 2 days home per week (contractual).

What you'll need to succeed

You must have experience in a HR Advisor role or similar and be CIPD Level 5 qualified+ (minimum). Experience within manufacturing or retail sectors will be an advantage, but is not essential.
