This is a significant strategic HR leadership role, reporting to the People & OD Manager and working closely with the Head of Service. As the OD lead, you'll be brokering, tailoring and socialising measurable organisation development plans and strategies which integrate with transformation goals and complement HR activities, supporting the Council to invest in their people and meet current and emerging organisational needs.
Strong and confident on influencing key stakeholders, you'll be leading on workforce development strategies, driving higher performance and productivity and influencing culture.
You'll be the lead on Workforce Development and Culture, one of the key workstreams within Wealden District Council's new People Strategy. This includes working on projects focused on Leading Wealden Forward, and Diversity and Inclusion, building on our already strong foundations in these areas.
Articulate and ambitious, you'll bring a proven track record of providing strategic HR and OD advice and support within a large complex and changing organisation. You'll be a member of the CIPD, with ideally a coaching & mentoring qualification, and you will definitely have strategic HR or OD management experience. Above all, you'll be motivated by the chance to drive cultural change.
