Are you an experienced, self-motivated, and ambitious Human Resources leader looking to make an impact in a growing and thriving Multi-Academy Trust?

We are looking for a talented HR lead professional with experience of operating at a senior level within a large, complex, people-focused organisation. Our ideal candidate will bring a strong delivery and problem-solving focus with the ability to persuade, influence and secure the confidence of others through building collaborative working relationships with a wide range of senior stakeholders. The position requires an individual who can work both strategically and operationally, taking a hands-on, action-orientated approach.

You will have a track record of successful HR leadership that includes sound technical knowledge and extensive experience in organisational development, talent and performance management, recruitment and retention, HR advisory services, HR management systems and systems development, employee engagement and staff well-being.

You will be an inclusive leader who is fully able to harness the talents of others by securing high levels of engagement and creating an environment where individuals are enthused, ambitious to succeed and happy in their work.

Working in partnership with our training and development organisations (London South Teaching School Hub and Charles Dickens Research School) and alongside the Director of The Charter Institute for Teacher Development, you will ensure that succession planning, and talent management is supported by focused professional development across the Trust and its schools.

You will have:

  • A passionate belief in the role of high-quality HR services to enable and empower leaders and staff to transform outcomes for children and young people.
  • Strong strategic thinking, planning and analytical skills.
  • The ability to develop systems, policies and processes that are both effective now for approximately 500 employees and can scale as we grow.
  • The knowledge and confidence to support the HR leads within our schools to deliver an outstanding service to our schools.
  • A track record of success as an HR lead professional.
  • A thorough knowledge of current employment legislation and HR best practice and the ability to apply this effectively in a large, complex organisation.
  • The capability to establish your credibility and gain the confidence of school and Trust leaders quickly.
  • A commitment to the Trust vision and values.
