Your new role
We are looking for a HR practitioner with experience or interest in the Pay, Reward & Employee Benefits field to join our small friendly Pay & Reward team. The post is offered on a part time (18.5 hours - flexible) and permanent basis and on a hybrid working pattern (predominantly working from home).

Your specialist key responsibilities will include:-

* Taking the lead supporting role in either Job Evaluation or Employee Benefits
* Contributing to the Pay & Reward agenda
* Providing expert advice to HR colleagues, partners and customers including managers of all levels
* Undertaking research and analysis to provide insight and inform the work of the team
* Contributing to the work of the wider HR Services team on specific projects as needed.
* The Job Evaluation lead will manage the HR Officer (Pay & Reward)

What you'll need to succeed
For this role you should be an experienced HR professional. Ideally you will have detailed working knowledge of relevant practices, policies, and procedures, including job evaluation and employee benefits. However, a generalist HR background and an interest to develop in this area will also be considered. Knowledge of local government policies, procedures, and conditions of service would be beneficial.

You should have or be working towards a CIPD qualification or have equivalent in-depth HR knowledge and experience. You will need to demonstrate and work to the Council's Values and Behaviours.
