The Prison Service Pay Review Body (PSPRB) is an independent body advising on Prison Service pay including for governors and prison officers.

The PSPRB is seeking two members - one with generalist experience and one with a Trade Union background.  With senior level knowledge of handling pay and other matters in the private or public sectors, PSPRB members have a key role in assessing evidence from relevant parties and conducting independent research to formulate pay recommendations to Government.

Alongside excellent interpersonal skills we are seeking people who can analyse and evaluate complex economic and statistical data, working with others to draw evidence-based and workable conclusions. For the member role with Trade Union expertise we are also seeking someone who has experience of working at a senior level in a trade union and a good understanding of how trade unions function and work.

You will be expected to serve for a five-year term and devote up to 20 days per year for PSPRB work including attendance at fortnightly Pay Review Body meetings in London and other meetings which usually take place monthly in London. The PSPRB provides annual reports and recommendations to the Government on Prison Service pay within England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

You will receive £300 per day.
