An exciting position for a Group Head of HR has become available at Fish Brothers Swindon. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and forward thinking HR professional to work with key stakeholders to establish the strategic Human Resources plans, and to drive people related improvements across the whole business.
Who are we looking for?
- Previous experience of working as an HR Business Partner, HR Manager or similar, ideally within a multisite organisation
- CIPD Level 7 qualification or further compensatory experience
- Previous experience of running a payroll function
- Involvement in key strategic areas such as recruitment, change management, succession planning
- Strong networking, coaching and influencing skills with the ability to form successful working relationships at all levels
The role of Group Head of HR
You’ll be responsible for leading a small HR team to deliver a high-quality HR strategic and operational service to the 10 dealerships and central services in the group portfolio.
This is a full time position however we are open to considering candidates who would like to work slightly fewer hours per week.
Other responsibilities include:
- Manage and lead a small HR and payroll team
- Provide coaching to managers on areas such as effective hiring decisions, managing staff absences and developing and maintaining a respectful working environment
- Manage employee relations ensuring preventative measures are implemented to reduce caseload
- Coach various managers/directors on HR issues and supporting ER case work as required
- Coach and develop the members of the HR team to enable them to fully reach their potential as HR professionals
- Implement HR programs for the Group ensuring alignment to Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and Reward, feeding into employee engagement & culture, succession planning, diversity & inclusion and leadership development
- Interpret and implement company policies ensuring legal compliance to employment law and best practice
- Analyse insights from data, using trend and metric information to define root cause and design solutions to drive improvement
