HR & Finance Administrator - 6 Month FTC (Newport)

This is an excellent opportunity for a HR Administrator to join the expanding team of a busy Third Sector organisation based in Newport who pride themselves on making a positive difference within the community.


Your new role
This is a diverse role, and you will be providing administrative support within the HR and Finance remit of the organisation along with general administrative duties on a daily basis. It is an excellent role for someone who wishes to develop their skills within a growing company, learning about all elements of the business. You will provide support in relation to recruitment, employment letters and contracts, employee vetting, onboarding, payroll, and all things related to the administration of the People Services team. In addition, you'll provide administration support to the leadership team - arranging and minuting meetings, purchasing and managing office supplies and equipment, managing the administration of our quality management system and any other administrative tasks to help with the smooth running of the company.


What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience working in an office environment, preferably in a role involving HR and will have a strong academic record to degree level. You will be an excellent communicator along with having exceptional written and numerical skills. You must be able to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision and be able to take ownership of your daily tasks, maintaining a positive attitude throughout. You will also have a high level of competence in IT packages such as Word, Excel and web-based products. You must work with discretion and confidentially due to the sensitive person information you will be dealing with.


What you'll get in return
Salary of £24,480 with a range of benefits including (but not limited to) a generous pension scheme and 28 days annual leave. Opportunity to be taken on as permanent after the 6 month contract.
