HR Assistant  

Salary: £23,396 per annum

Location Newent, Gloucester  

12 month FTC  

Full Time - 37 hours per week   (Part time working patterns maybe considered)

Our client are currently recruiting for a HR Assistant to join their friendly People Team - so if you are looking for a new challenge this could be the role for you. 

 

They are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and efficient colleague who has strong HR administration and communication skills. Within this role you will be working within the People Team supporting on all functions and aspects of HR. You will be responsible for providing a responsive and customer focused end to end administration service. 

 

You will provide support on all aspects of HR Administration from payroll administration to recruitment and onboarding, preparing contracts of employment, preparing information packs and documents for meetings, running monthly reports, maintaining HR information systems and providing general administration within the team. 

 

They focus on the delivery of a high-performing, customer-focussed, people service to the Group, with specific emphasis on excellence, efficiency, and continuous improvement.    

 

 

Key responsibilities will include:     

  • Effectively coordinate the employment cycle for colleagues as appropriate while ensuring adherence to GDPR and Data Protection regulations.   

  • Support the delivery of an effective onboarding programme for all new starters.  

  • Support reward and recognition activities, ensuring accurate information is provided to payroll, developing and promoting colleague engagement events and producing reports.   

  • Provide support and guidance to line managers to facilitate the recruiting process.   

  • Support the management of the Apprenticeship Scheme.   

  • To produce reports, undertake project work and attend meetings as required.   

  • Source, coordinate and monitor corporate training events. 

  • Being part of a highly motivated team who seek to make a difference in everything they do.   

 

 

They’re looking for someone has:     

  • Good general experience of working in a human resource team at entry level with a willingness to learn and develop your knowledge of the HR profession and the housing sector.   

  • A good written and verbal communicator   

  • Ability to time-manage, set priorities and work to strict deadlines, as well as problem solve and decision-make.  

  • Has great self-awareness and recognises the real importance of confidentiality and undertakes their role with personality and passion. 

  • Takes ownership and accountability for the delivery of their day-to-day tasks, raising issues quickly and working with their line manager to address these effectively.   

  • Proficient in utilising HR systems and Microsoft Office to support employees and the business.   

  • Ability to build effective relationships with a range of employees including stakeholders  

  • CIPD qualification level three or five or equivalent or working towards would be an advantage.
