As a senior member of the HR Department, the HR Business Partner’s role is to support the Director of HR and OD to deliver a high quality and well regarded HR and OD service within St George’s, University of London which helps ensure achievement of the University’s strategy.
This includes:
- Contributing to People Strategy development and implementation. Developing and implementing innovative and effective HR solutions that add value to the organisation. Acting as an HR Business Partner, providing high quality, credible and prompt HR advice and guidance to defined Institutes and/or Professional Service areas.
- Ensuring delivery of high-quality operational HR services (including recruitment, employment administration, and advisory services). Contributing to, and leading where appropriate, the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring best practice and compliance with current legislation. Taking a lead role for a portfolio of speciality areas, ensuring legislative compliance, robust procedures, clear communication and sharing of knowledge.
- Managing, developing, engaging and supporting HR team members. Acting as a role model for others, both within HR and across the University, demonstrating at all times St George’s expected values and behaviours.
