Are you ready to play your part in supporting and developing progressive workplaces across the North West?
We’re looking for a Strategic Lead – Learning and Development to join our team. In this strategic role, you’ll be the lead on all things relating to workforce learning and development; bringing your knowledge and expertise of what makes for great learning into this regional role.
We’re a small organisation with a big heart and an even bigger footprint that reaches across the whole of the North West. Taking in Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Liverpool City Region and Cheshire and Warrington, North West Employers is a membership organisation that is owned and led by councils across the region.
Working closely with our member organisations in local government, you’ll use your consultancy skills to really understand requirements, come up with innovative ideas and solutions and lead on the design and delivery of a range of development initiatives and programmes across our key business areas of Systems and Culture Change, Community Leadership and HR, Talent and Workforce.
What will you achieve in your first 12 months?
- Engage and build relationships with our member organisations and team of associates as you grow your network of contacts across the region Use your professional knowledge to respond to changes in the sector and the market and develop products and services Be our go-to person for inspiration and ideas on how we can further develop our L&D activity Respond to enquiries and write tenders and proposals to secure business and income generation Build your understanding of the priorities across local government Lead our programme of regional networks and events, using them to draw out data and intelligence, promote our work and get closer to our members
