Responsible for the design and delivery of the entire suite of HR deliverables across all IB offices, the Global HR Director is the top-most HR professional at the IB who will provide strategic HR advice to the executive team, and who will champion strategies, practices and processes that create the conditions for a continuing learning, adaptive organization.
Reporting to the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, the Global HR Director will ensure that the IB's strategy is set up to succeed through the talent developed, retained and recruited; the organizational culture and ways of working; and the effectiveness of the organizational design.
Job Duties:
- Manage all of the HR related activities across all IB global centers within the framework of a 'One-IB' approach - ensuring global consistency and alignment with local legal requirements. This includes but is not limited to:- Policies and procedures for attracting, developing and retaining exceptional talent in line with IB's strategic business needs
- Research and development of compensation and benefits strategy that aligns to global and local market conditions, and that supports IB's strategic vision and financial model
- Process and practices for staff communications that align to IB's purpose and to it's people strategy
- Design and implementation of policies, processes and practices that align to IB values and help establish an IB culture consistent across all centers

- Lead on Organizational policies ensuring consistent implementation
- Leverage data and analytics to uncover insights about trends on employee turnover, employee engagement and opportunities to inform and further IB's people strategy
- Work closely with the IB Leadership team to support all organizational changes and provide expert advice
- Manage employee relations, partnering with key stakeholders to develop viable initiatives/ interventions to create a positive and appreciative work culture - Accurately and objectively diagnoses organization issues, develops solutions, solves problems, and implements action plans to address these issues
- Develops and executes initiatives to improve Organizational Health and Employee Wellbeing

- Work with the IB executive team and other senior leaders to create and implement a vision for IB's organizational design and culture that will set IB up to succeed in the future. This includes but is not limited to:- Organizational design and delivery - By understanding the needs of the business, suggests optimal organizational structures, and runs a successful global recruitment campaign to attract the right talent that enable IB to achieve it's work
- Policies, processes and procedures that mitigate IB's risks but that provide flexibility and freedom to operate in line with IB's vision
- Creation of a shared set of IB values and vision of IB culture that is coherent across all centers but that celebrates diversity, equity and inclusion. Alignment of HR practices, policies, procedures and communications to these values and culture

- Take a strategic view of talent as a key enabler of IB's future success
- Design and implement a talent acquisition/development, management and retention plan that aligns to IB's purpose and strategy and that ensures/enhances diversity, equity and access for employees and stakeholders. This includes the implementation of an aligned compensation and benefits strategy
- Benchmark against human resource/talent best practices and implement initiatives that are innovative and aimed at continuous improvement to support a dynamic, evolving international organization
- Work closely with the Executive Team and is responsible for the proper manning of key positions both current and in the future, based on the IB's growth strategy
- Develop and implement an approach to development that drives IB's transition toward a continual learning organization. Includes but not limited to:- Learning and training programs to support the needs of the employees
- Introduce initiatives that drive a culture of a learning organization
- Ensure utilization of best-in-class development programs with a high return on investment across the organization, introducing state of the art online learning tools
- Provide guidance on the implementation of training and mentorship programs to retain, inspire, and build leaders at all levels
- Co-develop and execute a vision for attracting, developing, and retaining exceptional talent within an international organization
- Ensure global processes for onboarding & orientation (IB immersion programs) so that new staff feel welcomed, can settle in and begin contributing without any delay

Job Requirements:
- Master's degree in social sciences or business management with demonstrated work experience in a leadership role driving people strategies in international organizations
- Demonstrated knowledge of current best practices and trends in HR strategy, ideally in international and/or complex organizations
- Experience of leading change through HR in an international organization
- A demonstrated ability to create a HR team that is professional, agile and change oriented
- Familiarity with school-level education systems and practices would be an advantage
