We are looking for an HR Advisor to join our HR team as part of our drive to expand our HR function. The role will be generalist, covering a range of HR activities and will be ideal for a highly organised, personable, and adaptable individual who is looking to make the next step up in their HR career.

The team:

 

The HR team is a small but growing team and sits at part the wider resources team which provides critical support to the Foundation. We are a passionate and friendly team committed to enabling our internal stakeholders to deliver on our core mission of a having a more equitable and healthy society.

 

Key

 

responsibilities:

 

 

 

General HR Activities:   

 

  • Deal with general HR enquiries from across the organisation.  Maintain and update information and data on our HR Systems.  Create and run regular reports on the HR system and analyse these reports to highlight organisational insights and identify key actions.  Ensure the Foundation’s policies are reviewed regularly and are relevant and up to date liaising with HR Manager as necessary.   Oversee the monthly People meetings, supporting agenda planning, taking notes and ensure any actions are carried out to ensure the ongoing development of the People Strategy at the Foundation.   Produce and send HR related letters and correspondence.   Maintain confidentiality of information and data and ensure GDPR standards are adhered to. 

 

 

Recruitment: 

 

  • Work with HR Manager to develop recruitment schedules and required prioritisation.  In conjunction with Hiring managers and HR Manager, develop job descriptions and application packs, ensuring language used reflects our diverse and inclusive approach to recruitment.  Place adverts online and liaise with recruitment agencies as necessary, ensuring the advert will reach diverse talent.    Ensure that all aspects of the recruitment process follow our recruitment policies and procedures but also support ongoing improvement activity to ensure these remain fit for purpose.   Support and coach hiring managers to ensure that all parts of the assessment process are in line with the Foundations core values and meets organisational criteria, especially around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.  Monitor and report on Diversity information on the recruitment pipeline.  Manage communications with candidates throughout the process.   Draft and distribute new starter documentation and take up references.   Deliver a smooth onboarding process for new starters in conjunction with the hiring manager. 

  

 

Learning & Development: 

 

  • Take responsibility for the logistics of all staff training and induction sessions; scheduling, grouping cohorts, sending invitations etc. and work with HR Manager and external suppliers to develop suitable content.   Manage communications with delegates throughout the process.  Maintain training records and report on these identifying gaps.  Signpost staff to relevant L&D resources and support and encourage their ongoing personal development.  

  

 

Performance Review Cycle: 

 

  • Manage individual review cycles, sending reminders to managers when reviews are due and signposting staff and Line Managers to further support and guidance.   Manage and administer 360 feedback surveys for end of year reviews.   Ensure reviews are completed on time and closed off on the relevant HR systems.  

  

 

HR Internal communications: 

 

  • Publish and maintain content on the staff intranet.     Create guides to help support staff through HR procedures and processes.   Work with key stakeholders within the Foundation to advise all staff of any relevant people related updates.

  • CIPD qualification (desirable)  Generalist HR experience would be useful but not essential.  Experience using the Microsoft Office suite to a high standard  Experience of working in a busy environment    Customer facing experience
