Your new company
You will be joining a life sciences organisation who are moving to stage 2 of clinical trials and are looking for a Head of HR/HR Director to support them during a vital time where they look to establish their culture and plan M&A activities. This role is based in Oxfordshire and you will be required to travel to the US circa 4 times per year.
Your new role
Reporting to the CEO and with your own seat at the senior management table, you will be accountable for the delivery of the HR service across the UK and the US. The organisation has circa 40 employees and has grown fairly significantly in the last 12 months. The direction of travel for this next phase, is to stabilise the HR function, focus on culture, employee engagement and management capability. In addition, you will manage 2 HR Assistants, one based in the UK and one in the US. You will regularly interact with NED's and ExCo and will present at board level on a frequent basis.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a proven HR leader who can demonstrate suitability to lead a UK/US HR service across a 40 headcount business. There are times in this role where you will have to step outside of traditional duties, something which is part of the territory in a small business. In the hope of a successful next step of clinical trials, M&A activity will be planned over the next 12/24 months, therefore experience of leading M&A and preparing for this from a HR perspective has been listed as essential from the CEO.
To be successful in this organisation, you must be a self starter, resilient and able to work in a fluid/agile environment.
