Your new role
We are looking for an ambitious Senior Manager to join our ERS Tax Central Technical knowledge team. We are open to consider applicants from across the UK and offer a hybrid working model. * Producing curated summaries of technical materials and issues-led connected tax advisory content spanning different areas of our tax practice ;
* Producing commercially relevant digital training materials on tax technical topics;
* Drafting articles on developments for internal and external audiences including material published in our external publications
* Involvement in the Tax Policy Cycle (e.g., UK and devolved Budgets and draft legislation) analysis and workstreams that arise from this;
* Drafting responses to HMT/HMRC consultations on new proposals;
* Supporting knowledge management and transfer initiatives;
* Responding to ad hoc technical queries; and
* Attending technical meetings and forums, and summarising key points to share more widely.

* Have strong attention to detail and high personal standards for delivering high quality work on time;
* Have a real interest in tax and the potential implications for us and our clients of the developments and changes that take place;
* Enjoy researching and analysing tax law and cases;
* Be able to understand complex tax technical issues quickly, to a level where they can communicate them clearly to audiences of differing experience and expertise;
* Be highly self-motivated - very few knowledge tasks have 'hard' deadlines in the same way as client work, so our team members have to be able to push themselves to deliver output efficiently and then move on to new tasks;
* Be independent - whilst this role will be supported guidance and supervision from more senior colleagues, the successful candidate will be able to self-manage to deliver high quality work on time;
* Be proactive in seeking guidance as required, seeking new challenges and supporting others in the team;
* Have strong communication skills in a variety of media, including being able to explain complex concepts in a straightforward way and adapt communication style to suit the audience - strong written communication skills are essential to the role;
* Be confident in dealing with personnel at all levels;
* Be positive and enthusiastic about sharing knowledge and promoting good communication; and
* Have a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint and able to produce professional looking documents independently.
* We are open to applicants from across the UK and offer a hybrid working model
