BMAT is a growing multi-Academy Trust with a singular vision - to raise the aspiration of our children and inspire them to discover new possibilities. Our aim is to prepare our young people to be confident, high achieving and independent. Currently, we run 12 primary and secondary schools across Essex and East London.
At the heart of our Trust is a highly effective and efficient team covering all areas of support – finance, HR, IT estates. It is vital that these are efficient, forward thinking and best practice. We are looking to appoint a high-quality HR professional to shape and develop our future provision. As Director of HR and a member of the Trust’s Executive Team, you will look to shape and develop our HR services, such that they are fit-for-purpose, responsive and proactive. The sector is going through significant changes and as a result there is room for innovation and creativity.
The skills we are looking for are generic and transferable, so we are equally interested in candidates who are within or outside the sector. Key will be your knowledge, experience and understanding of HR service provision and best practice. Equally at home as a strategic thinker as an operational leader, you will be comfortable leading change and new initiatives. Your ability to influence and lead at executive level through well-developed communication skills and emotional intelligence is likely to set you apart.
Being courageous, having high expectations and servant leadership are key BMAT values and at the heart of what we do. If our core purpose and values mean something to you and you believe you have the skills and expertise required, we would be delighted to hear from you. Download full details on the role at www.pentir.com/bmat. Alternatively, for a confidential discussion please call our advising consultant Mike Phillips (07830 313915) at Pentir.
BMAT is committed to equal opportunities, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
The closing date for applications is Friday 16th September.
